St. Anthony Catholic School. A private school in Tigard, Oregon
Development at St. Anthony
St. Anthony capital campaign co-chairs John E. Cook and Kevin Shelby have announced a visionary campaign to secure St. Anthony's ability to serve our growing Catholic community with new and upgraded facilities for education, gathering, and worship.
The St. Anthony Church and School Master Plan calls for a 3 phase expansion of the current campus. Phase I included renovation of the fellowship hall into education space (middle school classrooms, library and computer center) and construction of a new gymnasium. Phase I was completed in 2003 and the facilities are used every day by the school children for classes, sports practices, meetings and special events.
The community center is the 2nd of 3 phases in the St. Anthony Church and School Master Plan. The community center project is estimated to cost 5.2 million dollars and to date; we have raised 4.9 million dollars from school and parish families, foundations, businesses and special events. Construction is slated to begin in mid-June of this year and should be complete by the spring of 2014. Fundraising will continue during the construction.
Phase 3 will be construction of a new main school building. Please check the website for more information on the community center construction and opportunities to support the project.
